The
interior technician performs various finishing tasks on the aircraft's interior
furnishings. He inspects these components and restores them as needed.
Job Description
· Clear the aircraft of all internal components upon arrival so that the mechanical inspection can begin (wall, floor, baggage rack, seat etc.);
·
Proceed
to the cleaning of the components of the aircraft both inside and outside
(wall, floor, seats, glass etc.);
·
Examine
the parts to determine what repairs and/or improvements are needed;
·
Evaluate supply
requirements;
·
Replace
defective interior structural components such as carpets, upholstery, seats as
required according to established procedures;
·
Draw
tapestry patterns and install them on the components;
·
Replace
all internal components of the aircraft that have been removed;
·
Work
closely with the Aircraft Team Leader to ensure that work is completed on
schedule;
·
Ensure
that work is performed in accordance with quality standards, company policies
and procedures and applicable regulations (Transport Canada, FAA, etc.);
·
Ensure
that the 5 "S" program is followed at all times;
·
Promote
the quality management system and provide suggestions for improvement;
·
Actively
explore new ways to improve productivity while maintaining quality;
·
Adhere to and enforce new
security policies;
·
Ensure
that the workplace is clean and safe at all times;
·
As
needed, assist with other tasks in the finishing shops and GSE department.
Qualifications
· Good manual dexterity;
·
Good knowledge of the
English language;
·
Experience in industrial
sewing and carpet and/or upholstery installation, experience in RV or bus
renovation.
